Spanish Gardens Smoked Brisket Nachos

Did someone say Tex-Mex? These nachos are so delicious you won’t want to share!

Tex-Mex BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

1 11.5 ounce jar Spanish Gardens Taco Sauce (spice level to your liking)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/4 cup molasses
3 tablespoons Worcestershire
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Spanish Gardens Taco Seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt


Instructions:

Whisk all ingredients together in a medium saucepan & bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.

Build the Nachos

ingredients:

Spanish Gardens Tortilla Chips
1/2 cup cheddar & jack cheeses, shredded
pickled red onions (recipe below)
sliced black olives
smoked brisket (enough to cover the chips) - smoke your own or grab some from your favorite BBQ spot
cilantro to garnish
avocado, sliced 
sour cream, drizzled over the top
Spanish Gardens Tex-Mex BBQ Sauce, drizzled over the top 


Instructions:

Make the onions: thinly slice 1 red onion. Simmer together: 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar, 1/2 cup water, & 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Add onions and chill.

Preheat oven to 350°. Pile Spanish Gardens Tortilla Chips on an oven-safe pan. Sprinkle with cheeses and brisket & bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Finish with toppings and serve!
